Sojourn To Africa
Every student who completes the 27-month program will travel to Africa.
Students visited Senegal and The Gambia in 1998, Ghana in 1999 and Egypt in 2000-2006. Completion of assignments, maintaining a minimum "C" average in school, attending all field trips and bi-monthly classes and participation in fund-raising activities are crucial elements for completing the program. It is our belief of that this unique opportunity for those students to visit the motherland, listen and learn from the elders and dialogue with their African peers will result in a life altering experience and give them a correct perspective of who they are, their true history and their innate ability to succeed against all odds.
All expenses related to the Africa trip are free to the student.
